State Fair 2008

We braved the crowds this year and ventured out to The Great Minnesota Get Together (much to Dave's dismay). We sampled some food, Beckett experienced his first Pronto Pup and did not want to eat anything else if it wasn't served on a stick , listened to some music, visited the Miracle of Birth Center, the Butterfly House, The Snake exhibit, Adventure Park, the Kiddie Midway and a few other places along the way. As much as Dave and I would have liked to get to a few other "grown up places" the kids (and us) just didn't have it in us. Here's a few fun pics and video of the kids.

The tilt-a-whirl was the favorite ride of the day!

Walker's first "Dragon Roller Coaster" ride. He's been waiting a long time to be tall enough for this one. He stood at the height checker board so big and tall and still came up a couple inches short. I warned him I didn't think he was going to be tall enough to go by himself but he assured me he had been eating his fruits and vegetables. I think the look of anticipation in his eyes waiting for the lady to tell him if he was big enough was obvious to her and she winked at me and told him to go ahead. If only I would have had the camera to capture the look on his face as he walked up the stairs and looked back at me SOOOO proud. He LOVED it! And we were suckered into the $7 picture to commemorate the big day!
