I have been caught off guard several times by my little (ok well not so little) Walker lately. I wanted to share a couple of what I have been calling "Walkerisms". Sometimes they are just thoughts he is having, sometimes a question that I think to myself...WOW, where did that come from!
We were out to eat a couple of weeks ago and while we were eating he asked, "Do you like spiderman or Jesus better?" Before I could come up with an answer he says, "I like Jesus better because he made us and all the stuff around us." This is the boy who slept in a spiderman tent everyday except one for a whole year. The boy who asks me at least once a week when he is going to get his webs in his hands like spiderman. I'm glad the only response needed from me was, "Me too."
The other day when I was snuggling up with him on the couch I looked and him and said, "I love you sooooo much". He paused for a minute, looked at me and said, "I love you 115". All I could think of to say was....Wow that is a whole bunch!
That same day he came downstairs after nap and went straight to the couch and layed down. He always has a "healthy" snack after he wakes up, so when I heard him say "Mom" from the couch I immediately responded with "what would you like for snack?" He got a little shy and said "I know you probably won't let me have them...but my body is telling me that is what it wants." He was referring to the pink and white frosted animal cookies with sprinkles that if given the opportunity he would probably polish off the bag in one sitting :) I had a hard time not laughing while I was saying..."Well if that is what your body says it wants than we should listen to it. Because sometimes my body tells me it wants chocolate." (Or a Margarita...depends on the day)
